Ambassador Committee

Introducing the Ambassador Committee:

Chamber Ambassadors will be a growing team of professionals who are willing to volunteer their time and skills to provide a vital link between the Chamber and our members. Ambassadors will serve as an extension to our board members to help ensure each member is receiving the full value of their investment.

Ambassador Etiquette:

Consistently and positively promote the Hamburg Area Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Directors.
Smile and be friendly to help make any business owner, manager, or guest feel welcome.
Dress in appropriate attire for each event, wearing the Ambassador name tag.
When at an event as an Ambassador, please remember that you are there representing the Chamber and your business/organization.
If food or beverage is provided, you may partake when appropriate to do so. If you would like something that is not offered, you should pay for that additional item.
Please do not bring guests unless specified.

Ambassador Responsibilities:

Generate enthusiasm and a sense of camaraderie while supporting the community and attending Chamber events
Attend member-hosted events such as ribbon cuttings or milestone celebrations
Assist Chamber staff by request at events such as the Annual Awards Banquet, Armadillo Festival, Paint the Town Purple, & Hamburg Holidays, etc.
- a minimum of 60 hours of participation per semester is expected, including attending events by request
Positively engage with new and existing members via phone, social media, email, and in person to build and retain membership
Participate in Ambassador Committee meetings
One year commitment to serve on Ambassador Committee

Deadlines:

Committee in place by Friday, February 16. First Ambassador Committee meeting the following week, date to be determined.

Who can Apply:

Anyone who is 18+ years old within the Hamburg area is welcome to apply to be a Chamber Ambassador.

Applications will be reviewed by the Hamburg Chamber Board of Directors.
